Dear Friends:

Thank you for your support of the Spinal Research Foundation (SRF). Our life-changing research, education, and patient advocacy programs are dedicated to improving spinal health care and helping the millions of people suffering from neck or back pain. Your gifts transform lives!

SRF has been challenged with a generous $250,000 matching gift, doubling every dollar raised and helping us meet our most immediate needs. Please join us in meeting this challenge with your year-end donation.

With the continued support of friends like you, SRF will implement in 2012 an electronic data capture system for nationally-based, spinal treatment outcome studies. This system will enable SRF and its national research partners to document and evaluate the most effective treatments for the spinal conditions that commonly affect the average citizen. This national, first-of-its-kind data collection and analysis will help preserve access to the best care options for those suffering from severe neck or back pain, potentially including someone you know or love.

SRF's We've Got Your Back Race for Spinal Health promotes spinal health awareness and celebrates the accomplishments of Spinal Champions: those who have overcome back or neck pain through non-surgical and surgical treatments. Because of your support and participation, these fun-filled community events have grown in popularity and will be hosted in cities across the country in 2012, doubling the number of races that were held this year.

In 2012, SRF will also launch a new website that will be the go-to source for information and resources on neck and back pain and spinal health care. SRF's new patient-focused website will provide site visitors the opportunity to find answers to their neck and back pain questions and tools to connect and engage in an online community with other people having similar experiences.

To meet our ambitious goals and make each of these initiatives happen, we need your generous donations. As you're evaluating your year-end giving options, I ask you to put the Spinal Research Foundation at the top of your list and return a contribution today.

Thank you, again, for your support and best wishes to you and your family for a safe, healthy, and happy new year.

Best regards,

Thomas C. Schuler, MD, FACS

President
